Whistleblower reintegrated after investigations

Public Protector Thuli Mandonsela has reinstated Justice Department whistleblower known as Mrs M.
This follows allegations that the whistleblower was victimized and harassed by her collogues, after she discovered that they were inappropriately using public funds in the Guardian Fund.
The Public Protector then investigated the allegations in 2010.
Thuli Mandonsela’s Spokesperson Kgalalelo Masibi said the Department of Constitutional Development advised Madonsela that they have reconsidered all the findings in the provisional report and that they are going to take necessary steps to reinstate the complainant by the 1st of March 2013 .
Masibi added that the department promised ensures that there will be reintegration plan regarding the complainant’s reintegration into the department.
