Parliament has granted Democratic Alliance’s request to hold a snap debate on the so-called Guptagate scandal.

National Assembly speaker Max Sisulu made the announcement today.

Around 200 wedding guests arrived at the Waterkloof Air Force base last week to attend the Gupta wedding.

DA’s Chief Whip Watty Watson said the abuse of government resources in this scandal has seriously undermined the intergrity and security of the state and Parliament.

Watson said that his request for the snap debate as a matter of public importance on the so called Guptagate, the abuse of the air force base  in Waterkloof which is a key point of this country and very important to South Africa.

Watson furthermore highlighted that this matter has now become more hysterical for this country, everybody is concerned about this break in our security.
