A women’s conference which is celebrating women’s achievements is underway in Cape Town
The Women, Inspiration and Enterprise Conference are bringing together leaders in various fields including politics and business.
The conference will be for two days and it will deal with topics from health, education and women empowerment.
The Chairperson of the African Union Commission Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma said women need to play a more important role in Africa .
Dlamini-Zuma added that women in the continent suffered triple oppressesion they were oppressed as black, workers and women.
“They took their rightful place in the struggle for our liberation.” Dlamini-Zuma.
