The Western Cape Department of Health will as part of the national initiative host a three day Family Day around the province.

The initiative forms part of the department’s goals of creating a healthy environment.

MEC of Health Thenus Botha said prevention of illness remains the most cost effective manner in which to help live an active life.

Departmental Winelands District Spokesperson Jo-Anne Otto said there will be HIV counseling and testing and men can go to book their medical male circumcision or find out how it can benefit their health.

Otto added that there will also be breast risk assessment.
