As the high crime rate has increases, the decision to disband the Scorpions has not yet been finalized. According to the African Christian democratic partys Geoff Duffel Earl, the government is not doing a very good jog of keeping the crime rates at bay.
“The ACDP notes that there has been a decrease in the murder rate and other certain offences according to the police statistics that were released yesterday. However we are very concerned that various other categories such as robberies, burglaries and car hijacking have increased significantly. We as the ACDP believe that it is clear that the government is failing in it’s primary duty protecting it’s citizens particularly when you consider that citizens do not feel safe at their homes, businesses on the roads or even in public places.”
