An accident between a Toyota Hi Ace taxi and a truck left thirteen people injured on the R45 between Paarl and Franschoek, just before the Stellenbosch turn off yesterday.
“When emergency services arrived, they found the taxi lying on its side, all the occupants of the vehicle had managed to get out by themselves,” said ER24’s Tristan Wadely
“One patient sustained serious injuries but is in a stable condition, she is believed to have been ejected from the taxi. Four other patients sustained moderate injuries and the remaining eight patients sustained minor injuries,” said Wadely
The patients were taken to various surrounding hospitals by ER24 and Metro EMS ambulances. SAPS, Metro Rescue, Fire Department and traffic services were also in attendance.
