Najwa Petersen is still waiting to hear whether she would be allowed to appeal her conviction for the murder of her music icon husband.
It has been reported that the Western Cape High Court will decide on Wednesday whether to grant her leave to appeal.
Najwa who was sentenced to 28 years in jail for the murder of Taliep Petersen in 2006, yesterday approached the court in a bid to have her conviction and sentence overturned.
Petersen’s son Suleiman Effendi was hoping she would be allowed to appeal.
