Fourteen suspects have been arrested following a week long investigation into a number of house robberies that took place in the Constantia and Tokai suburbs.
A Task team consisting of investigators from Kirstenhof Police station and members from the serious & violent crimes unit of Cape Town assisted by a local security service provider, Mountain Men security operating in the Tokai area assisted in an operation to arrest the suspects.
“The police confiscated the following items; cell phones, watches, laptops, power tools, both digital and normal cameras, and jewellery,” said SAPS spokesperson Captain Fredrick van Wyk
“The stolen items seized this far have an estimated street value of around R2 million,” said van Wak
These items were all linked to cases of house robbery and reported to the following police stations: Kirstenhof, Hout Bay, Diep River, Wynberg, Claremont and Camps Bay.
