Four injured in N1 accident

Emergency Rescue 24 Paramedics were called out to an accident early yesterday morning, where 4 people were injured when the BMW they were travelling in left the road and hit a tree.

ER24 Spokesperson for the Western Cape, Tristan Wadeley says the driver of the car sustained serious injuries.

He was trapped in the vehicle and Metro Rescue used hydraulic rescue equipment to free him.

“Two patients including the driver, sustained serious injuries and were transported to Tygerberg Hospital (TBH) by ER24 ambulance, the other two patients sustained moderate injuries and were taken to TBH by Baycare ambulance.”

The cause of the accident is still unknown at this stage.
