The 23 year old man from Salt River who was taken in for questioning for murder has been placed under arrest.
He allegedly assaulted and murdered a 69 year old man yesterday.
The body of Sulaiman Sauls was found in a public toilet at the Rotary sports club in Salt River.
“It is alleged that the suspect assaulted the deceased after a fight occurred,” said Sergeant Hilton Malila.
Sauls later died because of the injuries he sustained to his head.
Sergeant Malila said the suspect will appear tomorrow in the Cape Town Magistrate court on a charge of Murder.
