A collision between a car and a tanker truck on the West Coast Road, near Atlantis yesterday, left one person dead.
“The female driver of the car was dead on arrival of emergency services and was still trapped in the vehicle,” said ER24 spokesperson Tristan Wadely.
Rescue crews from Metro Rescue and the Fire Department had to cut the deceased lady from the wreckage.
The driver of the tanker sustained minor injuries.
