A taxi driver has been shot and killed following a road rage incident in Vanderbijlpark.

ER24 spokesperson Lloyd Krause says the shooting followed when the taxi driver threw a stone at the windscreen of the tow truck.

The tow truck driver apparently completely lost his temper and fired shots at the taxi.

The driver, who was wounded, died on the way to hospital. A passenger in the taxi was also wounded.
