A case of attempted murder has been opened at Mfuleni police station for investigation.
On Wednesday, Mfuleni police responded to a shooting that occurred in Wesbank.
Police’s Captain Nomathemba Mauvha says two men, including a gang member were shot by alleged members of Mobster Gang.
Mauvha says one of the suspects started to shoot at the two men.
No one was wounded during the incident.
“After firing the shots the suspects ran away. No arrests have been made yet and a docket of attempted murder has been opened,” she said.
Mauvha assures they will continue with their visibility in Wesbank and with the operations that they have been conducting in order for the two suspects to be arrested and for confiscating the illegal firearms.
