Ten arrests were made during a drug bust yesterday after police acted on information from the communities of Wallacedene, Scottsdene and Scottsville.
The Metro Police’s Tactical Response Unit together with the Drug Busters and Kraaifontein police carried out a joint operation during which 12 search warrants were executed.
During the searches, five packets of tik, three cell phones and three Lindix airtime machines were confiscated.
16 packets of cigarettes ,17 "stoppe" dagga,three mandrax tablets and seven half mandrax tablets and three TIK “lollies” containing TIK were also siezed.
Metro Police Deputy Chief Yolanda Faro says Metro Police vow to act on any information received from the public.
“The public are our eyes and ears and the Metro Police will act on all information received,” said Faro.
