The African National Congress has finally responded to the outcry, saying Zuma’s relationship with anyone remains a personal matter.
Spokesperson Jackson Mthembu told the media that the party sees no correlation between its policies on HIV and Aids and the President’s personal relationships.
He adds that Zuma has gone on record sharing his believe in polygamy and has demonstrated his responsibilities in this regard.
Meanwhile the Christian Democratic Party says Zuma is making a mockery of the Presidency, by fathering a child out of wedlock.
CDP leader Theunis Botha says Zuma should resign for the sake of the country.
The Christian Democratic Party says President Jacob Zuma’s lifestyle is a setback for the fight against HIV and Aids.
Botha says the latest revelation about a child born out of wedlock, coupled with a previous admission of having had unprotected sex, are of serious concern.
In another development, African National Youth League president Julius Malema says it is disrespectful to discuss the illegitimate child Zuma is said to have fathered.
Malema was answering a question on the subject at a news briefing in Johannesburg today.
He is quoted as Zuma was their father and they are not qualified to talk about his affairs.
