The quiet Eastern Cape Town of Jeffrey’s Bay has been shocked by the murder of a 61 year old businessman in the town.
Police spokesperson Gerda Swart said the three men approached Gert Coetzer while he was opening his store for business.
The deceased sustained two fatal gun shots and died on the scene.
His widow witnessed the incident from inside the shop and pressed the panic alarm.
The three attackers fled empty handed.
Police investigations are ongoing.
