Bafana Bafana is expected to make a come back to the Mother City after a three year absence, the national squad will meet Colombia at the Cape Town stadium at the end of the month.

The match forms part of their international friendlies in preparation for the FIFA 2010 Soccer World Cup.

The last time Bafana graced Cape Town was in 2007 when they played Zambia to qualify for the Africa Nations Cup.

The match will coincide with the return of Striker Benni McCarthy from international football.

The national squad kick off the first of their four friendly matches when they clash with Thailand on Sunday at the Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga.

Meanwhile the pitch contractor at Cape Town Stadium says the grass is coping well with the winter rain.

It is reported that the drainage at the stadium is designed in a sophisticated system to ensure it does not get waterlogged.

The soccer tournament kicks off in less than a month and contractors are working hard to ensure the stadium is ready on time.
