Reports say ANC Youth League president Julius Malema plans to plead guilty to charges of bringing the party into disrepute when he faces a disciplinary committee tomorrow.
They say ANC treasurer-general Mathews Phosa, who will represent Malema at the hearing, advised him to plead guilty in order to avoid a harsh sentence which could include the suspension of his ANC membership.
The disciplinary panel will be chaired by Deputy Science and Technology Minister Derek Hanekom.
Malema is being charged for his recent behaviour, including chasing out an international journalist at a Leagues media briefing in Johannesburg, expressing support for Zanu-PF in Zimbabwe and disregarding an appeal by the party for discretion by singing the Shoot the Boer song.
