Diep River police are seeking the assistance of the public in tracing three suspects after an armed robbery incident that occurred in Plumstead yesterday.

Police’s Warrant Officer Keith Chandler says a 55 year old complaint was waiting for his gate to be opened when he was approached by an armed man.

The suspect gun pointed the victim in his neck and ordered him to get out of the car and two of the suspect’s accomplices showed out.

“Two other males then appeared and got into the car, while the victim was laying face down on the ground,” Chandler said.

The suspect who was armed with a pistol noticed the victim’s ankle holster and removed a revolver from his left leg.

“He then got into the vehicle and drove off in the silver 2003 Mercedes 230 compressor with registration CA479296,” Chandler added.

Chandler says nobody was injured during the incident and the victim was offered counseling at Diepriver police station.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Warrant officer John Tayler at 021 7107360.
