The Automobile Association of South Africa has outright rejected the recommendations given to government last week on the proposed Gauteng electronic highway tolling system.
The AA’s Gary Ronald says at no stage in the consultation process was the idea of tolling officially accepted.
He maintains that as such, no debate on the tariffs should even be taking place.
Ronald says government has once again failed its citizens by promising fair and transparent process and not delivering.
