The Democratic Alliance is pushing for a Bill in Parliament to protect non-striking workers from violence and intimidation.
The Bill is also aimed at protecting public and private property from malicious destruction during strike action.
This comes after striking workers have been intimidating non-striking workers and have damaged public property.
The DA’s Ian Ollis says if the Bill is passed, unions would be liable for penalties and damages
