Bush Radio is mourning the death of one of its board member Professor William McClain passed away on Sunday the 2nd of October 2011.
Professor McClain is originally from Indiana but through his interest in South Africa and the apartheid regime he eventually moved to the country some years back.
He made friends wherever he travelled, creating very special bonds with Oliver Tambo and Chris Hani from the “African National Congress”.
Despite his passion for the African continent he was also a loving father to his three children and his wife.
Bush Radio’s Managing Director Brenda Leonard says “the station mourns the passing, experience and contribution to the station will be missed. Prof was the person who was prepared to go the extra mile for the station, he was always available to impart his experience to young people and assist them to grow. Our condolences to his wife May and his three children who have lost a husband and a father. We wish them strength during their bereavement”.
