Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane says she remains committed to a clean and transparent government.

Mokonyane welcomed Public Protector Thuli Madonsela’s finding which cleared her of claims of corruption.

The DA’s Jack Bloom had accused Mokonyane of acting unethically in a R30-million deal to beautify the Albertina Sisulu Highway in preparation for last year’s Fifa World Cup.

Madonsela found that the Gauteng roads and transport department had acted within the limits of the law.
