The National Police Commissioner General Bheki Cele has welcomed what he termed the speedy arrest of the alleged "Facebook Rapist", Thomas Bester.
He had high praise especially for the Hawks in KwaZulu-Natal. Bester was arrested on Wednesday night on another allegation of kidnapping.
He is alleged to have kidnapped a woman using the modus operandi as before and this time using a totally different alias in an attempt to once again try and evade police arrest.
Bester faces at least one count of murder and several rape, kidnapping and theft charges. Cele said while it was of little comfort to the victims, the work done by the Hawks must be commended.
