Lusanda Bill
04 October 2011
The leader of the United Democratic Movement Bantu Holomisa has asked the public protector to investigate the lease agreement of the Independent Electoral Commission's new Centurion offices.
Holomisa says the rental agreement between the IEC and the Riverside Office Park Trust needs to be investigated.
It is alleged that the IEC paid a lump sum of more than 22-million rand to the trust in March last year while the building was still being constructed.
Occupation of the building only took place in September 2010.
