Trade union Cosatu has postponed its one day national strike action against labour brokering in the country.
Thousands of workers from its affiliated unions as well as unions aligned with the National Council of Trade Unions were scheduled to down tools tomorrow to support calls for an end to the practice.
Cosatu spokesperson, Tony Ehrenreich says the main reason for the postponement of the strike is that the technical procedures that have to be followed under the labour relations act will be challenged by the employers.
Ehrenreich added that a decision on when the strike will take place will be announced at a later date.
