The Democratic Alliance said that the Joint Standing Committee on the deployment of the South African Defence Force to the Central African Republic was a disgrace.

DA Shadow Minister of Defence and Military Veterans David Maynier said that on Thursday, the committee was a national and international disgrace.

Maynier said it was simple not possible to ask all the questions and despite the fact that the Minister was prepared to answer questions.
Minister Nosiviwe Maphisa-Nqakula will back in Parliament to answer some more questions about the deployment of soldiers in CAR.

This comes after South African soldiers were attacked by the rebels in the country and about 13 South African soldiers died.

The President has called for the troop to return home, after some concerns were raised about their deployment and stay in the country.
