Presidency- Madiba much better

African Union Commission Chairperson, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma on Sunday joined world leaders in extending her best wishes and speedy recovery to former South African President Nelson Mandela.

Dr. Dlamini Zuma was speaking from Durban, South Africa where she had earlier this week, led an AU Commission delegation to the recent BRICS Summit hosted by South Africa. 

Dlamini said the African Union, as does the rest of Africa and the world, wishes him a speedy recovery while expressing its great confidence in the ability of the medical team attending to his health to help him overcome his current challenges.

Meanwhile the Presidency Spokesperson Mac Maharaj says according to doctors Madiba is much better.
Madiba suffered a recurring lung infection, which led to a pleural effusion.
