Two people died at two separate accidents in WC

A cyclist was killed and another person left injured when they were hit by a vehicle in Muizenberg on Tuesday. 

Pedal Power Association member Noel van Zyl urged cyclists and motorists to be tolerant and adhere to the rules of the road. 

Van Zyl said more cycle lanes are needed.  

Emergency Metro Service’s Keri Davids said two cyclist were knocked down on Okaaspe weg one adult male declared deceased by Emergency Metro Service and one adult female sustained serious injuries and

Davids added that the female was transported to Victoria Hospital by an ambulance

Meanwhile a man died when he was struck by a train in Eersterivier on Tuesday afternoon. The exact Details of the cause of the accident are not known at this stage but police are investigating. 

Netcare 911’s Spokesperson Chris Botha said when they arrived on the scene they found a man and was not responding.

Botha added that the man tragically died with extensive injuries.
