Transport Minister condemns reckless driving

Transport Minister Ben Martins said he is saddened by the continued loss of lives on South Africa’s roads. 

This follows numerous accidents across the country, including the one on Sunday night which left seven people dead and nine injured. 

Martins said one death on our road is one too many. 

Ministerial Spokesperson Tiyani Rikhotso said the Minister has sent his sincere message of condolences to those who lost their loved ones in the accident and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

Rikhotso added that the department would like to put more emphasis on the need to for a collective approach.
