Child Protection Register important

The Democratic Alliance has said the Child Protection Register is important in the fight against child abuse.
According to the new crime statistics, of the 64 514 sexual offences reported, 40% were committed against children under the age of 18.
The shadow minister of social development, Mike Waters said over the same period, 800 children were murdered.
At a Social Protection and Community Development Cluster briefing in June, it was revealed that there is only one name on the CPR.
