Red Cross burn unit the best

It’s said that the Red Cross Children’s Hospital burn unit provides world-class treatment for young victims.

Spokewoman for the hospital, Lauren O’ Connor-May said eighty-five percent of the patients are younger than six years old.

Roughly ninety-eight percent of young patients were from disadvantaged communities.

It is also a referral centre for patients with severe burns for areas outside the Western Cape because of a lack of similar facilities around the country.
