The bomb blast victims have been identified

The Department of International Relations and Cooperation has contacted the families of the victims of a blast in Kabul, Afghanistan.

On the blast, eight South African citizens were killed.

The department is working with the private aviation company that had employed the deceased, as well as with the authorities in Afghanistan.

Department Spokesperson Nelson Kgwethe said they have been given the go ahead by the families to release the details of the deceased.

Kgwethe said the deceased were age between 30 and 35 years old.

He added that all the victims have been identified.
