Bawusa to review its decision about farmworker strike

BAWUSA on Monday said that they have looked at the decisions as far as the strike in concerned.
Spokesperson Nosey Pietserse said if their requirements are not met, the workers will meet nationwide on the 3rd of March 2013 to decide whether the strike will be resumed on the 4th of March.
Pieterse said the farmworker strike was never called off, it was merely suspended.
“The decision was to continue with the suspension of the strike not to call it off, because of the fact that a number of the workers are still dismissed and some workers are still in jail without bail” Pieterse said.
Pieterse said that about 400 workers were still to appear in court for charges of public violence and intimidation.
