The Congress of South African Trade Union said they will be launching a campaign against retailers who pay farmers a small amount for the products that are produced on South African farms.

Cosatu said research has shown that retailers are setting ridiculously low prices for products that they buy from farms.

The union is planning to protest in a major retail stores on the 27th of February.

Cosatu’s Dan Malapi said this campaigns aims to benefit the farmers and there is a great need to support them.

Malapi added that they will be picketing throughout the country in ensuring that the message is passed.
