Limpopo schools still without textbooks, two months into the school year

The Democratic alliance has challenged the Limpopo education department to prove that text books have been delivered to all schools in the province.

DA’s Limpopo Provincial Leader Jacques Smalle said the department denied that no textbooks had been delivered for core subjects at DuiwelsKloof Primary, two months into the school year.  

Jacques Smalle said the province in under administration and the department feels that MEC is not taking accountability for his actions by not providing textbooks especially in the Mopane region.

Smalle adds that the DA has found that seven schools at this present moment has not received textbooks in the grades of grade 4, 5, 6 and grade 7 , the subjects are Afrikaans, English , Social Science, life orientation, Natural Science, Mathematics and Sepedi.

Smalle said, subject books for the intermediate phases in grades 4, 5, 6 and 7 has also not been delivered at the schools.
