The National Health and Allied Workers Union welcomed the findings of the Ministerial Task Team that was investigating the situation at the George Masebe Hospital in Limpopo following the death of four infants.

A report released by Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi confirmed the union’s declaration that lack of proper management exists in the hospital.

Nehawu Provincial Secretary Jacob Adams said the Ministerial task team pointed out that the death of the babies is as the results of the lack of management.

Adams added that those responsible must be brought to book.

The investigation revealed that a lot of doctors were given leave during the festive season while the hospital was left in the care of a nurse, who did not any managerial or administrative experience.
