NUMSA speaks out against violent crime

The recent incidents of rape in the country have raised outrage amongst politicians, citizens and organisations.

In the last two weeks incidents of rape and brutal murder were reported.

The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa has joined other organisations in voicing out their concerns about the high rate of abuse of, women, children the elderly.

Kwazulu Natal Numsa Provincial Spokesperson Mbuso Ngubane said that the union is obligated to join forces with other community activists and organisations and other committed bodies in ensuring that there is a fight against the scourge of violent crimes that are engulfing society.

“It is the of responsibility of everyone of us, particularly of us as men to ensure that there is a safer environment and safer streets where our mothers, fathers and grandmothers can walk on the streets without fear” Ngubane added.
