The South African Transport and Allied Workers Union has today rejected the employers 9.5% wage increase.

The union met with the Bargaining Council today in Johannesburg.  Satawu Spokesperson Vincent Masoga said they will not settle for anything less than a two digit offer.

The three week long strike started with the bus drivers demanding an 18% increase while employers only offered 9%.

Mosago said they will now continue to intensify the strike action.
