EC man arrested for his father’s death

A Grahamstown man was arrested on Thursday for allegedly stabbing and killing his father.

Eastern Cape police said that eyewitnesses it is believed that the man’s father had denied giving the 44 year-old man his pension money.

The man is said to have fled the scene after the alleged stabbing.

SAPS’s Mali Govender said a case of murder has been open for investigation.

“The suspect is due to appear in the Grahamstown Magistrate Court soon” Govender added.
