FEDUSA: Unemployment rate is a challenge

The Federation of Unions of South Africa said the fact that about four million young people between the ages of 16 to 30 is a big challenge. 

General Secretary of Fedusa Dennis George said the high unemployment rate in South Africa is a challenge which business, government and trade unions need to tackle.

George added that organised labour and business have signed an agreement with the government to ensure young people get the opportunity through learnerships.

George further added that government has taken a good step.
