The National Sea Rescue Institute attended to a drowning incident in Monwabisi.
It appears that five children from Talfesig Mitchell’s Plain had been swimming in the tidal pool when two nine-year-olds went missing.
NSRI Spokesperson Craig Lambinon said both children were found under water and were declared dead on the scene.
Lambinon added that the circumstances surrounding their drowning are not known at this stage and the police are investigating.
