Nehawu: Nurses should be appreciated

The National Education Health and Allied Workers Union said it salutes all nurses as the 12th of May 2013 will be International Nurse’s Day under the theme closing the Gap: Millennium Development Goals. 

Nehawu said there is still a universal problem of shortage of nurses as individual nurses are overloaded by the number of tasks they perform. 

Nehawu’s Spokesperson Sizwe Pamla said the time has arrived for all citizens to appreciate the role that is being played by nurses.

He added that thy are calling on all the commentators who have consistently calling for the moderation of increases of nurses said the moderation of increases of public servants to appreciate the fact that without these people taking care of the sick of the vulnerable in the country they country will collapse.

Pamla said the it is about time that the country appreciate what nurses do and because nurses work in a sector that does not see profits, it doesn’t mean that the job that they do id not important.
