The Protection of State Information Bill, which was passed by the National, has caused a lot of controversy.

The Bill is waiting for President Jacob Zuma to sign it into law. The Right2know Campaign has embarked on activities that show their dissatisfaction with the bill.

Community Organisations in the Vaal will participate in a picket at the Emfuleni Municipality.

Right2know Organiser in Gauteng Bongani Xezwi said they will be picketing to raise concerns to ask the President to take the Bill back to Parliament to be reviewed by the courts.

“The problems is that communities are aware that the Bill is not correct and will not protect whistleblowers” Xezwi added.
