2 men arrested for dealing in drugs in Sea Point

A 50-year-old South African and a 36-year-old German were arrested on Monday for dealing in drugs in a house on Normandy Avenue Sea Point.

Captain FC van Wyk said during an investigation by the Hawks and the Crime Intelligence Unit a premises was identified from where alleged illegal drugs activities were being conducted and a search and rescue operation was then conducted.

The two men are expected to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate Court on charges of illegal possession of drugs.

Van Wyk said that they recovered a variety of drugs, including dagga, cocaine and LSD. The value thereof was estimated at approximately R100 000. A substantial amount of cash found in the premises was also seized.
