The South African Communist Party in Gauteng said it dismisses with contempt the mocking and malicious attacks directed against the SACP’s character by NUMSA General Secretary Irvin Jim.

This follows the statement made by Jim on a media website.

SACP in a statement said they believe this particular attack is consistent with many of its type.

SACP Provincial Spokesperson, Lucian Segami said that they are also making a couple of fundamental points, the first being that perhaps the SACP should have a deeper discussion on the link between contemporary opportunism in the labour movement and imperialism.
