A security guard who was collecting money
from the Gugulethu Square
Police Spokesperson Thembinkosi Kinana said
as the security guard was coming out of the mall he was approached by
unidentified suspects who attacked him and demanded money and his firearm.
Kinana said that the money was recovered
because the security that was waiting in the car saw what was happening and he
then ran to the suspect and tried to arrest him.
Kinana that later on, police were very
swift as they were able to arrest the suspect and the firearm was recovered.
