The African Christian Democratic Party said it welcomes the drop in unemployment figures in the country.

ACDP MP Cheryllyn Dudley said they hope to see a sustained improvement impacting not only the economy but communities and individuals.

“Education outcomes, insufficient job creation, labour market inflexibility, uncertainty over property rights and wastage and inefficiency in service and infrastructure provision are just some of the reasons unemployment has not been able to drop significantly over the past few years.” Dudley added.

She concluded by saying the ACDP calls on government not to become complacent and to make the changes necessary to address the situation and ensure sustainability.
