Western Cape MEC of Human Settlements Bonginkosi Madikizela on Monday had a meeting with community members of Nyanga to address issues surrounding the Boys Town Housing Project.

MEC Madikizela said there were a number of problems that led to the contract going off site in Nyanga and the visit was to address some of the problems with the beneficiaries of the project.

Madikizela said the visit was to meet with the community on the matters that have been plaguing the project and the project needs to be finished soon.

He added that 503 houses have been built already and there are still about 889 houses to be built and there are residents that did not want to move and they are blocking the project to be completed.
