New Mitchell’s Plain Hospital to be opened next week

The Western Cape Department of Health has announced that the new Mitchell’s Plain Hospital will be opened next week.

MEC of Health Theuns Botha said he is pleased with the commissioning of the hospital to date and that staff are working long hours to ensure that the operational management runs smoothly.

Ministerial Spokesperson, Helen Rossouw said that the first out-patients will start using the new hospital next week Tuesday.

Rossouw added that there is also now a draft CSIR report with recommendations of the future of a current hospital, that will be finalised.
